  1. Observation skill is a central science process skill and can be used as a teaching/learning strategy in science classrooms to enhance students' scientific attitude and learning. Observation skill is critical for gaining command on other science process skills. It helps in widening the conceptual understanding by children of things around them and also in promoting their natural curiosity.

  2. Observation is a concentrated study requiring attention to the characteristics of an object, a scene, or a situation: light, shape, texture, pattern, color, detail, and changes of these over time and under varying conditions. As with any skill, the ability to observe well takes constant practice. By keeping a small sketchbook (or “field journal”), for instance, a student can draw objects from nature on a daily basis and add notes of his or her observations. Over time, the student can learn to differentiate between similar life forms, recognize patterns in the natural world, and develop models of how nature works.

  8. Observation is essential in science. Using observation to collect and record data, which enable students to construct and then test hypotheses and theories. They can observe in many ways with their own senses or with tools such as microscopes, scanners or transmitters to extend their vision or hearing. It hereby enables Students to closely understand and experience the scientific content, laws etc and their effectiveness and application in real life.

  10. Observation is a very important part of science. It lets us see the results of an experiment, even if they are not the results we expect. It lets us see unexpected things around us that might stimulate our curiosity, leading to new experiments. Even more important than observation is accurate observation. Often, our eyes and our brains play tricks on us, letting us see what we expect to see, instead of what is actually there.

  12. Children are highly curious about the world around them. Any parent knows that at a very early age kids begin to ask lots of “why” questions.. Why do trees lose their leaves? How fast does a ball roll downhill? These questions are also the beginning of the learning process.
Children automatically observe, think, and do. Our observation skills inform us about objects, events, attitudes and phenomena using one or more senses. Children observe every thing all times.

  14. Observation skill is one of the many skills a student should have so that they can acquire the learning of science.
This skill helps the student in understanding of science.
Observation skill support the learning as it paves a medium to express one's understanding of a concept.
This skill also helps in attaining other important and useful skills required for the learning of science for a student.

  16. By observation students learn more effectively. And science is the subject where by observation students learn more easily e.g. like we want to teach students about parts of flower .so we need to take a flower in front of children and eloborate it's part practically and children observe it and learn the concepts joyfully and with enthusiastic

  21. Observation skills allow teachers to understand what children are interested in and how they are learning. Observations help the teachers understand the strengths and needs of each child. Likewise, in early infant days, mother observes her baby to get to know him better and get a sense of his/ her knowledge, needs, interests, skills and how s/he learns better.

  24. Observation are the key to good program planning. It helps in understanding the strength and need of each child. Teachers can observe the children to get to know them better and get the sense of their scientific knowledge, needs, interest, skills and how they can learn it. And this is how we can approach a child about the learning opportunities.

  37. Observation skills helps like , when teacher show some demonstrate to students ,some students starts to make point for future reference some listen and some observe
, As we all know that we hardly forget textual form but we never easily forgot visual form .
